How exciting to welcome so many new wind and brass players, strings, singers, percussionists and new guitar players to the program. A reminder that you can be in as many ensembles as you want at no additional cost. In particular, the program urges students to consider joining the choir – singing really enhances musical development.
Tour News: We anticipate a group of about 50 students attending – more singers are needed so if you play guitar, strings or percussion and want to join the tour – think about joining the choir with the tour. It will be quite a big jobchasing and collating the various permission forms for the tour, so if you’ve got time to spend an hour or so at the school assisting with this please contact Lidia di Simone fees@rbscmep.net or convenor@rbscmep.net
Help with Ensembles: – we need one parent from each ensemble to take on the role of “Ensemble Parent” for each of the following: Choir, Junior Concert, Junior Stage, Strings, Senior Concert, Senior Stage, Guitar Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble.
What’s involved? – your role is to be there at performances to check that all students are there, ensure students are wearing the right uniform and generally assist marshalling on and off the stage. EASY! Please contact Celia Donovan if you are able to take on this simple job. convenor@rbscmep.net
Uniform: It is vital that all members of all ensembles have a MEP shirt (available from the uniform shop) in anticipation of your upcoming performances. Black trousers (no jeans or leggings), black socks and black lace up shoes are also mandatory.
Feedback: Feedback from members is always welcome, please post your comments below.
