Dear MEP Committee,
On behalf of the Clovelly Public School Friends of the Band, I would like to thank all the students of the wonderful RBSC Junior Stage Band who performed at our yearly Jazz Picnic.
The RBSC Junior Stage Band opened Clovelly PS’s end of year, outdoor celebration of music. Unfortunately, it drizzled on the dot of 6pm for 5 minutes- just in time for the RBSC Junior Stage Band performance, but that didn’t deter them. The students demonstrated professional composure and played on- much to the audience’s delight! It was a fabulous opportunity for our primary school band students to witness what the future holds for them, as well as seeing many of our ex-students coming back to play. We appreciate the time and efforts put into the performance – the students went out of their way to perform for us on a Friday evening at a busy time of year.
We have had many comments from our parents as to the politeness and friendliness of the RBSC students as well as the excellent standard of performance. The students looked professional, behaved impeccably and provided a fantastic opening to our evening.
It would be appreciated if you could extend our thanks to the students of the Junior Stage Band, as well as Murray Jackson, Band Director, those involved with the RBSC Music Ensemble Program and the Principal of RBSC. We look forward to more opportunities to collaborate with RBSC Music Ensemble Program in the future.
