Youthrock 2014

Rose Bay Secondary College MEP is proud to send 3 bands off to this years finals of the statewide Youthrock band competition.  As the only school with multiple entrants in the finals this is an excellent achievement and shows what great talent we have within the School and MEP program.

Held at the Sutherland Entertainment Centre, the competition bengins on Wednesday the 9th April year 10 students Gone Electric taking the stage for the second year in a row.  Thursday will see The Citizens try and improve on placing 5th overall last year in their 3rd year of playing the competition. Friday night will be The Dawsons turn with these year 11 & 12 MEP veterans entering the competition for the first time.  Sachin Burns will have his hands full as he plays with both The Dawsons and the Citizens.

There is more than just great prizes on offer as well with the event attracting many industry kingpins keen on finding the next great Australian band.  Its a great chance for our students to show off their talent and creativity and get their name out into the wider world.
