Students in NSW Public Schools are invited to apply for the 2014 Schools Spectacular Symphony Orchestra and Stage Band. The Schools Spectacular Orchestra and Stage Band provide the musical backing for the production. The repertoire is varied, covering a wide range of classical, jazz and other popular music styles. The challenging repertoire is rehearsed during an intensive rehearsal period. Both ensembles are of an incredibly high standard with a mix of students from across NSW represented.

- Students are invited to apply via The Arts Unit website by clicking HERE
- Applications for the 2014 Schools Spectacular Orchestra and Stage Band close on Monday 22 September.
- The rehearsal and performance schedule is attached. All rehearsals and performances are compulsory. Students should check this carefully to ensure they can meet the schedule. However, rehearsal times can clash with University entrance exam/auditions. In these situations some negotiations and exemptions may be able to be accommodated.
- Students should be approximately 6th grade AMEB or higher.
